The Flying Toad was an idea thought up by my fiancé and me. With both of us being huge nerds that love medieval fantasy, card games, LOTR, DND, and more, we believed that our passion should be shared, and built. We want to create a place where people can escape to a lore-driven tavern with food and drink that not only tastes good, but also takes the immersion further than what the eyes can see. We envisioned a place where kids can be kids during the day, and adults can use their imagination by night. This is a restaurant that can be expanded further than just wood and board. There is boundless lore to be made and discovered. Knowing why a beam is crooked or why the coin is on the bar counter encourages one’s mind to wander.

We both came into this business with one thing in mind: giving back to the community. With rising prices, we don’t want our workers or guests to stress when coming to The Flying Toad. We strongly believe that workers should be paid a livable wage, and that customers should not be obligated to tip. We also plan to hold occasional charity events to support our community. The Flying Toad will allow us to give back to our community while creating a place to let your imagination run wild.
